This Ash + Axe Connemara leather card holder has been hand cut from full grain vegetable tanned leather in a walnut brown and light natural tan reverse. The rugged and wild nature of the Connemara region of Ireland has insprired this rustic leather card holder.
 
Vegetable-tanned leather is made using natural tannins found in organic materials such as tree bark to add a unique look and feel to the animal hide.
 
This means harmful chemicals are avoided in the leather tanning process. Approximately 10% of leather is vegetable tanned in this way.
 
The leather was stitched by hand using a saddlery needle with 1mm tan waxed thread for strength.
 
Being made from leather, a natural material, and hand crafted, this piece is truly unique. The wallet comes with a branded brown pesentation box. The Ash + Axe brand has been hammered into the leather using a custom made brass punch.
