Blade: Blade: O2 carbon steel. Hardness: 60hrc ±1. Blade length: 100mm. Blade thickness: 2,5mm
Handle: The handle is crafted from a stunning piece of oak reclaimed from the roof restoration at Oxburgh Hall in Norfolk. Who knows what stories it could tell.
Additional trim includes jet black East Anglian fens bog oak. Radio carbon dating has shown these ancient giant oaks to be around 3300BC. Other layers include spalted beech and beech both from Thetford Forest. The rear of the handle is buffalo horn and brass pin
Leather: The knife is being sold with a handstitched leather slip. The leather is vegetable tanned so no nasty chemicals used in the process
