Available is a stunning 88mm carving knife made from Suffolk Red Deer antler
 
Blade: A hollow ground sloyd blade suitable for green woodworking. These blades have been hand-sharpened after hollowing to give the easy to maintain flat-over-hollow edge geometry.
 
These blades were designed by Nic Westermann to echo some features of the turning sloyd and have a subtly hollowed spine that has been smoothed and polished for comfort when push cutting. This is a robust blade that will cope with dry as well as green wood.
 
Handle: The handle is crafted from a stunning piece of Red Deer antler from the Forests of Suffolk with additional 5000 year old bog oak from the fens
 
Radio carbon dating has shown these ancient giant oaks to be around 3300BC.
 
The knife set also comes with a red deer antler tip keyring made from the same antler
 
Leather: The knife is being sold with a handstitched leather slip, with additional length of hand cut leather thonging. The leather is vegetable tanned so no nasty chemicals used in the process
