Available is a stunning 40mm carving knife made from ancient bog oak and Wart Hog tusk
 
Blade: Blade: O2 carbon steel. Hardness: 60hrc ±1. Blade length: 40mm. Blade thickness: 2,5mm
 
Handle: The handle is crafted from a stunning piece of  jet black ancient bog oak from the Lincolnshire fens. Carbon dating has aged these bog oak trees at 5000 years old
 
The bog oak has been dug up from the Lincolnshire fens and carefully air dried then kiln dried before being quarter sawn to give a beautifully contrasting pattern.
 
Radio carbon dating has shown these ancient giant oaks to be around 3300BC.
 
In the rear of the handle has been inserted a piece of Warthog tusk. There is also the addition of brass tubing and length of handcut veg tan leather thonging
 
Leather: The knife is being sold with a handstitched leather blade slip and a full handstitched sheath set including belt dangler
