Available is a stunning 65mm carving knife made from stunning 5000 year old  bog oak
 
Blade: The blade has been designed by Ash & Axe and handforged across the pond in the USA by an experienced bladesmith from 01 tool steel and is 65mm long with a scandi grind
 
Handle: the handle is crafted from stunning bog oak and has been dug up from the Lincolnshire fens and carefully air dried then kiln dried before being quarter sawn to give a beautifully contrasting pattern. Radio carbon dating has shown these ancient giant oaks to be around 3300BC.
 
There is the addition of spalted beech trim from an ancient hillfort in Cambridgeshire
 
A brass lanyard tube has been inserted into the rear of the handle and comes with a 1.2m length of handcut thick leather thonging.
 
Leather: The knife is being sold with a handstitched leather blade slip
 
To help keep your handle in good condition the knife includes a tin of Ash & Axe organic Cambridge beeswax and tung oil/ Linseed oil wax.
