The pendant is made from a beautiful piece of 8000 year old mammoth tusk. The white and brown piece of tusk is from the outer layer of the tusk so would have been exposed to the elements and environment over 8000 years ago! 
 
A small diameter piece of solid brass tubing has been inserted to hold the silver plated 18" belcher chain
