Available is a stunning spalted beech handled spoon carving knife
 
Knife blade: the blade is designed by me and hand forged by in the USA in 01 tool steel
 
Handle: the handle is crafted from stunning splated beech from Thetford Forest on the Suffolk/Norfolk border. The spalting process has created beautifully contrasting black lines and white patches with hues of pink.
 
The knife comes with a custom ash box with spalted beech top. The hinging screw is from an old Singer sewing machine from the late 1800s.
 
I have not oiled the handle or the box but to help keep your handle in good condition the knife includes a tin of Ash & Axe organic Cambridge beeswax and Norfolk Linseed oil wax. It is user preference whether to oil or not as sppalted beech can become darker if waxed.
